Drawings
What is it that makes drawings so powerful? The answer? Their simplicity. When strong, fluid lines are combined with powerful strokes, they come together to create a strong composition. I derive the inspiration for my drawings from that point in time at which beauty and vulnerability converge. It is this particular combination that I find so exciting and so appealing.

I also derive inspiration for my drawings from the art of calligraphy and sumi-e. This very direct style of art renders sketching in advance superfluous.
